食品伙伴網(wǎng)訊 據(jù)加拿大衛(wèi)生部消息,8月19日加拿大衛(wèi)生部發(fā)布通知,修訂允許的載體或萃取溶劑列表,批準(zhǔn)甲醇作為生產(chǎn)甜菊糖苷的溶劑,最大用量為 200 ppm,于 2014 年 8 月 19 日生效。
目前加拿大批準(zhǔn)甲醇作為溶劑用于天然提取物、香料提取物、啤酒花提取物,以及肉與禽蛋的標(biāo)印油墨。

Health Canada's Food Directorate completed a detailed safety assessment of the use of methyl alcohol (methanol) as an extraction solvent for steviol glycosides.
Methyl alcohol (methanol) is already permitted for use in Canada as a solvent in natural extractives, spice extracts, hop extract as well as in meat and egg marking inks.
As no safety concerns were raised through this assessment, the Department has enabled the food additive use described in the information document by the List of Permitted Carrier or Extraction Solvents, effective August 19, 2014.
