This notice provides instructions to inspection program personnel (IPP) at official import inspection establishments on actions to take when verifying the accuracy of inspection certificates for imported raw pork products from the central competent authority (CCA) of Australia. The inspection certificates provide.In March 2011, FSIS issued Federal Register Notice 76 FR 11752, which affirmed FSIS's 1999 equivalence determination (64 FR 30299) that Australia's modernized livestock slaughter inspection system, the Australian Export Meat Inspection System (AEMIS), is equivalent to FSIS's food safety inspection system specifically for raw beef, sheep and goat products. In March 2018, Australia requested that FSIS include in its equivalence determination raw pork products produced under AEMIS.
